Job Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and reliable infrastructure
- Working closely with client and delivering outcomes per the SoW and SLA Architect
- Architect, design, develop, deploy and document new systems or maintain existing systems on Cloud Platforms based on specifications
- Collaborate with, provide continuous guidance to, and influence design decisions of various Agile development teams for various existing and new products and solutions with respect to Cloud enablement, migration and infrastructure needs, to adopt and promote Cloud best practices, and economies of scale
- Engage customers to understand their use cases and operational needs, as well as engage with Cloud Platform vendors to understand their technology roadmaps and evolution and translate to comprehensive technology guidance for various product teams
- Design for Cloud security and compliance to ensure solutions and operations reliability
- Drive and conduct audits on current cloud utilization and recommend cloud optimization and security changes
- Act as a mentor and technical consultant for the various teams
- Platform Management:
Oversee the architecture and management of GCP resources, particularly Big Query, Databricks, and Kubernetes - Architecting Solutions:
Design scalable and efficient data architectures tailored to specific business needs - Optimization of Workloads:
Analyze and optimize data processing workloads to improve performance and reduce costs - Performance Measurement:
Implement monitoring and performance metrics for data pipelines and applications - Cost Monitoring:
Develop strategies for cost-effective resource usage, including budget tracking and optimization techniques - Collaboration:
Work closely with data engineers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and functionality
- GCP Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services, particularly Big Query, Databricks, and Kubernetes
- Data Engineering: Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing
- Performance Tuning: Proven track record in optimizing data processing and query performance in Big Query
- Kubernetes Management: Proficient in deploying and managing containerized applications using Kubernetes
- Cost Management: Familiarity with GCP billing and cost management tools to monitor and optimize cloud expenditure
- Monitoring Tools: Experience with GCP monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Stackdriver, Cloud Monitoring)

Qualification:
B.E /
B.Tech, BCA, MCA equivalent GCP - Professional Cloud Architect
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $120,000 - $150,000. In addition, for the current performance period, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
As a full‑time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company.
In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of parental leave. We also follow a "free time" PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take time needed for either sick time or vacation.
