Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Database Administrator to join our team in Washington. This role involves maintaining and optimizing company databases, ensuring data security and availability.
Responsibilities- Install, configure, and maintain database software.
- Create and manage database backups, disaster recovery plans, and testing procedures.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Develop and implement data security measures to protect sensitive information.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure database integrations are functioning properly.
- Stay updated on industry trends and new developments in database technology.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of database management systems (DBMS).
- Knowledge of SQL programming language.
- Familiarity with data backup, recovery, and security protocols.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
