Role Overview
Enterprise Services Engineer II in the Collaboration Services group. Responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, and improvement of Microsoft 365 enterprise applications and services. Provides advanced technical support, leads troubleshooting initiatives, mentors junior staff, and collaborates across teams to enhance system reliability, security, and compliance.
Responsibilities- Implement, administer, and optimize Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, One Drive for Business, Microsoft Teams, Entra , and related security and compliance features).
- Lead deployment and maintenance of applications and services, offering technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Analyze and improve ITSM processes using Service Now, identify trends, and recommend enhancements to IT operations.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support, resolving complex issues and escalating only when necessary.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to act as a technical resource for escalated support and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in a 24x7 global support team, escalating complex problems as needed.
- Develop automation solutions with Power Shell, Microsoft Graph, Azure Automation, and other tools to enhance operational efficiency, reporting, governance, and service delivery.
- Maintain accurate tracking of IT service tasks and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Stay current on regulatory changes and ensure consistent application of security and compliance controls.
- Mentor, coach, and train staff as a subject‑matter expert.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree in information technology or related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of IT‑related engineering experience.
- Advanced technical knowledge for troubleshooting and resolving complex problems.
- Experience implementing new features and updates in a Microsoft 365 environment.
- Strong understanding of security and compliance within Microsoft 365.
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining documentation for configurations and procedures.
- Excellent research, analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead discussions and present solutions.
- CompTIA A+ certification required;
Microsoft Certified Fundamentals preferred. - Occasional travel may be required.
