Volt is immediately hiring for Laptop Migration IT Technician in Spokane, WA.
As an IT Tech you will:
Primary Functions and Responsibilities
- Set up and deploy new laptops for employees according to established procedures.
- Migrate user data, settings, and applications from existing devices to new laptops.
- Configure Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and other required software.
- Provide onsite support during laptop deployment and migration activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues.
- Assist users with device setup, account access, printers, peripherals, and application functionality.
- Document completed migrations and update asset tracking and ticketing systems.
- Escalate technical issues that require advanced support and follow through to resolution.
- Verify successful completion of migrations and ensure users can effectively use their new devices.
- Maintain inventory and proper handling of laptops and related equipment.
- Provide basic user training and answer questions about new devices and applications.
- Meet project timelines and productivity goals while delivering a positive customer experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
This is a full-time opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 1-3 years of experience in desktop support, device deployment, laptop refresh projects, or technical support.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications and GMail Gsuite.
- Experience installing software, configuring devices, and performing data migrations.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, networking, and troubleshooting practices.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work effectively with users at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced project environment.
- Experience with asset management and inventory tracking is a plus.
Pay Rate: $25.00/hour
* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
