This is a hybrid position requiring you to work from our Spokane, WA office Monday through Wednesday.

Job Overview

This position represents the highest level of technical underwriting competency within the assigned practice group and is responsible for leading and directing the underwriting team(s) in a virtual and office working environment. Underwriting authority is delegated by the Practice Executive. The Underwriting Manager works closely with the Practice Executive and is responsible for compliance, underwriting integrity, service standards, and production. The position provides mentoring and technical assistance and training to the underwriting team and in the interpretation of underwriting policies and procedures.

The Underwriting Manager may review and underwrite the most complex technical risks and grants underwriting authority to all direct reports. This position assists in the development of the business strategy, develops metrics, and determines what products and services best support the organization.
