Day Shift, Monday - Friday

Skookum is seeking a dedicated and reliable Grounds Worker and Janitor with a positive attitude. This individual is responsible for maintaining the grounds, providing service and repair, to ensure they are kept clean, safe, and attractive. In addition, the individual is responsible for general cleaning services in restrooms, offices, and other working areas.

• Performs grounds maintenance and cleaning services using proper equipment and supplies and follows procedures for safe use and operation.
• Cleans and details facilities and grounds, including trash removal, dusting equipment, furniture, fixtures, sweeps/vacuums, and mops floors.
• Cleans common areas, including high traffic areas, hallways, stairwells, breakrooms, lunchrooms, coffee areas, lavatories, showers, and restrooms, using correct chemicals on all surfaces.
• Operate a tractor and/or mower, weed eater, chain saws, and brush cutter to perform mowing, trimming, edging, weed and brush control.
• Wash and perform basic maintenance of grounds equipment.
• Communicate with customers daily in a courteous and professional manner.

• 6 months experience in a custodial capacity preferred.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Valid Driver's license required with the ability to obtain and maintain approval to operate a vehicle by Skookum's insurance company.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances as background checks will be conducted for this position.
• Must be able to occasionally work up to a 40-hour work week.
