Custodian – Full Time
Location: Spokane, Washington
Type: Non‑Exempt Full‑time
Work Schedule: Sun – Fri (Tues & Thurs 12pm – 6:30pm, Mon, Wed, Fri 2pm – 8pm, Sun 3:30am – 8am)
Compensation: $17.75 per hour (plus $4.93 per hour cash payout with qualifying health insurance)

Typical Duties:
- Maintain a safety mindset; follow industrial safety guidelines, attend safety trainings, and promote a safe workplace culture. Wear required PPE and care for vacuums and small equipment.
- Clean offices, lobbies, conference rooms, and general areas: pull trash and recycling, replace liners, dust surfaces, sweep, mop, or vacuum floors, and clean interior and entrance glass.
- Clean kitchens and kitchenettes: sanitize sinks, microwaves, and other appliances; pull trash and recycling; dust; sweep and mop; check and refilling soap and paper towel dispensers.
- Clean restrooms, locker rooms: dust, sweep, restock supplies, clean sinks, toilets, urinals, showers, and walls; wipe partitions; remove mineral deposits.
- Organize janitor closets: practice good housekeeping; wipe down equipment; wrap cords; store items correctly.
- Security: follow facility access rules, care for badges, keys, codes; report safety concerns; receive training.
- Track supplies inventory across all buildings and report needed supplies.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 0–3 years of janitorial experience preferred; combination of experience and education considered.
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
- Reaching, kneeling, walking, standing, repetitive motion for several hours.
- Climbing in and out of a vehicle, stairs, and handling heavy objects as needed.
- Perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods.
Requirements:
- Valid state driver's license with ability to maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
