Facilities Maintenance Technician I & II

Jubilant Hollister Stier LLC, Spokane’s Largest Manufacturing Company, and a member of the Jubilant Pharma family, is seeking the Facilities Maintenance Technician I & II for an on-site, full-time role located in Spokane, WA.

• Under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor, repair, install, replace, and service various types of facility equipment and systems including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, equipment operator, carpenter, painter, and locksmith.
• Maintain process water and equipment including preventative maintenance tasks and operational data.
• Maintain electrical distribution and equipment including preventative maintenance tasks and operational data.
• Maintain compressed air systems and equipment including preventative maintenance tasks and operational data.
• Operate and maintain boilers and associated equipment and piping systems, including preventative maintenance tasks and operational data.
• Assist in maintaining WFI water treatment, storage and distribution system.
• Perform routine checks and inspections to ensure systems are functioning properly; evaluate equipment breakdowns and conduct mechanical/electrical troubleshooting.
• Order and maintain replacement and spare parts for the facility and equipment; document facilities maintenance requirements in the computerized maintenance management system.
• Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of resources; promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Interacts with manufacturers, vendors, and operations to resolve issues and concerns.

• High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to work nights and weekends required.
• Licenses/desirable:
  City of Spokane boiler operator’s license (Class
  3) desired;
  Spokane Gas Heating Mechanic’s 1 License desired; EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant Handling License desired; WA L&I Electrical Trainee License desired.
• 0-3 Years’ experience directly related to the duties specified in a campus environment, plant facility, or related industry (pharmaceutical preferred). Completed degrees may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Knowledge of building trades; PC proficiency; ability to understand and follow specific instructions; ability to use hand and power tools; ability to read and enforce safety procedures.
• Extensive physical activity; heavy lifting over 50 pounds; exposure to hazards or physical risks with basic safety precautions.

In addition to the above qualifications, 3-5 years’ experience directly related to duties in a campus or plant facility, preferably pharmaceutical.

Weekday Days, Monday–Friday

• Facilities Maintenance Technician I - $25.11–$33.96 per hour
• Facilities Maintenance Technician II - $27.90–$37.73 per hour, depending on experience, with opportunity for growth, promotion and annual raises
