Tessera is seeking a MOTIVATED and HARDWORKING Lead Custodian with a positive/helpful attitude.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

Lead by example while performing daily custodial duties alongside the custodial team.
Assign, coordinate, and monitor daily work assignments to ensure all contract requirements are completed on schedule and meet quality standards.
Train, coach, and support custodial employees on proper cleaning techniques, equipment operation, safety procedures, and contract expectations.
Inspect completed work to ensure cleanliness, quality, and compliance with contract standards, addressing deficiencies as needed.
Follow and promote all safety policies, procedures, and industrial safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Communicate professionally and courteously with customers, federal employees, building occupants, visitors, and management.
Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish restroom supplies while following cross-contamination prevention procedures.
Sweep, vacuum, dust, wet mop, and maintain offices, courtrooms, hallways, stairwells, lobbies, entrances, elevators, and other assigned areas according to contract standards.
Clean interior glass, doors, partitions, furniture, fixtures, and other high-touch surfaces to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
Collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash and recyclable materials throughout the facility.
Operate and maintain custodial equipment and cleaning tools safely and effectively.
Maintain janitorial closets and storage areas in a clean, organized, and compliant condition, ensuring equipment is cleaned and properly stored after each use.
Monitor cleaning supplies and notify management when replenishment or replacement is needed.
Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, security issues, or facility damage to management promptly.
Ensure assigned areas are properly secured by locking doors and following all facility security procedures upon completion of assigned work.
