Machine Operator I & II
Wage: $17.25 to $19.25/hr
Location: Spokane Valley, WA
Type: Temp – Hire
Summary
We are looking for dedicated and detail-oriented Machine Operators to join our team. In this role, you’ll be working with machines such as roll formers, polishing lathes, pneumatic presses, and vices to shape, shear, and manipulate metal into the desired specifications. As a key member of the production team, you’ll help ensure products meet the highest quality and engineering standards.
- Operate assigned machines (e.g., roll formers, polishing lathes, pneumatic presses) following work instructions to process material until the desired outcome is achieved.
- Inspect material to ensure it meets specified tolerances.
- Use hand tools, calipers, and measuring instruments to verify product accuracy.
- Track and log job operations to maintain accurate production records.
- Maintain controlled material custody and tracking throughout the production process.
- Set up machines for various job runs and assist other operators with machine setups.
- Identify and select the correct tool set for each job run.
- Install and adjust tool sets and guides to achieve desired output.
- Use calipers and other measuring tools to ensure outputs fall within acceptable margins.
- Apply basic math to calculate measurements and tolerances down to the thousandth decimal place.
- Use judgment and experience to recommend adjustments as necessary to improve tool performance.
- Identify production issues and provide solutions or seek support to resolve problems efficiently.
- Train and coach new hires on job responsibilities, safety protocols, and work practices.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and departments.
- Basic to moderate math skills required.
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing standards is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and technical drawings.
- Must have vision (natural or corrected) of 20/30 or better.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Must meet pre-employment background screening requirements, including compliance with U.S. Export Control Regulations (ITAR).
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator I (9 months or more).
