Forklift & Building Materials Operator - Spokane

Job Summary

Weyerhaeuser Distribution is a leader in distributing building products worldwide. We have an immediate opening for a Forklift and Building Materials Operator at our Spokane Valley Distribution Center. The starting wage is up to $21.00 per hour
.

• Safely operate and maintain propane or gas forklift to move products from stock lines to staging and/or cut stations.
• Safely load and unload products from various trailers and rail cars.
• Safely do your job to ensure your personal safety and the safety of others.
• Courage to intervene in any unsafe practice.
• Accurately perform basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, and multiplying.
• Accurately count units, record totals and document shipping and receiving activities.
• Develop in depth knowledge of building material products and warehouse operations.

Schedule:

Full-time, Monday – Friday, 11 am - 7:30 pm, day shift with possibility of overtime.

Location:

USA-WA-Spokane Valley.

Job Level: Individual Contributor.

Job Type: Experienced.

Shift: Day (1st).

This is not an inside warehouse position. The role will perform manual labor 55–65 % of the time.

This position is designated by WY as a safety‑sensitive position. Candidates will be subject to pre‑employment testing for cannabis and its metabolites.

• High school diploma or GED.
• A positive willing to learn attitude.
• Minimum of one year of forklift experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move or slide up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to work outside in the elements five days a week and occasional Saturdays depending on business needs.
• Wear all personal protective equipment as required.
• Ability to work on a computer.
• Ability to work cohesively in a team environment with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
