JOB DESCRIPTIONManufacturing Supervisor I/II
As Spokane’s Largest Manufacturing Company, Jubilant Hollister Stier LLC is a well-established force in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries, providing a complete range of manufacturing services that support life‑changing medicines worldwide. The supervisor will oversee aseptic manufacturing processes, including compounding, operations, preparation, filtration, filling, and lyophilization within the SVP manufacturing department.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Supervise assigned manufacturing operations, including processing source materials, equipment and component preparation and sterilization, aseptic filtration, aseptic filling, lyophilization, inspection, and packaging; report operational status to management and peers daily.
- Review and update manufacturing documentation associated with the manufacturing areas.
- Provide cGMP, job‑task, and safety training for personnel.
- Generate, update, and maintain area Standard Operating Procedures and BPRs; ensure cGMP compliance via observation, training, and auditing.
- Supervise hourly employee performance, ensuring compliance with SOPs, cGMPs, and safety regulations.
- Investigate deviations related to assigned responsibilities and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Order production supplies and equipment required to manufacture products.
- Prepare production‑monitoring reports and participate in analysis of product cost and budgeting.
- Interview new employees, provide coaching and counseling, conduct performance evaluations, set objectives and standards, and assist in disciplinary actions.
- Analyze and recommend capital expenditures and efficiency improvements in the manufacturing areas.
- Interact with supporting departments (Q&A, Maintenance, PIC, etc.) to resolve production‑line issues promptly with appropriate quality considerations.
- Schedule validation of processes and equipment.
- Ensure environmental monitoring limits are maintained in all areas.
- High school diploma required.
- Bachelor of Science in Biology, Chemistry, or a related hard science strongly preferred.
- Two years of progressive responsible roles in a manufacturing environment required.
- Two or more years of supervisory experience required.
- Two or more years of experience in aseptic areas strongly preferred.
Spokane, WA — On site, full‑time.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITSHiring Wage: $39.57 – $53.53 per hour + 15% shift differential with opportunities for growth, promotion, and annual raises.
