Industry: Plastic Injection Molding

Pay: $75,000 - $85,000 annually + benefits

Schedule: Full-time during 2nd Shift (1PM 10PM)

Overview

A growing manufacturing organization based in the eastern region of Washington State is seeking a technical Plastic Manufacturing Technician to learn and support mold validation, process development, and production optimization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands‑on environment and is passionate about improving efficiency, quality, and overall process performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct testing and validation of new molds to ensure proper functionality and quality standards
  • Develop, refine, and optimize injection molding processes for improved performance
  • Provide technical support to production teams by troubleshooting process‑related issues and implementing corrective actions
  • Lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including cycle time reduction, scrap minimization, and efficiency enhancements
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to validate processes and resolve product defects
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to setups, trials, and process changes
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards at all times
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in injection molding or plastics processing (more experience preferred)
  • Strong expertise in mold setup, process development, and optimization techniques
  • Experience with scientific molding and Design of Experiments (DOE) is an advantage
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Effective problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • No scheduling issues working second shift.
  • Prior leadership or mentoring experience is a plus
