The Production Supervisor is a first‑line leader responsible for directing day‑to‑day manufacturing operations within aseptic or other processing areas to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production of sterile pharmaceutical products. The role includes direct supervision and mentorship of production staff, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The supervisor ensures strict adherence to cGMP, SOPs, and regulatory standards while driving operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Supervise daily activities of production technicians, ensuring adherence to SOPs, batch records, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with specialists to create optimized production schedules and manage room and equipment availability.
- Monitor production schedules, adjust staffing and workflow to meet output targets and minimize downtime.
- Ensure proper gowning, aseptic techniques, and compliance in cleanroom operations.
- Track and report on defined KPIs, ensuring the team is aware of goals.
- Provide necessary resources and intervene when needed to keep the team successful.
- Optimize labor and material usage across processes.
- Coach, mentor, and provide performance feedback to technicians.
- Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, recognizing achievements and addressing performance gaps.
- Facilitate onboarding and ongoing training in sterile techniques, equipment operation, and safety.
- Review and approve batch records, logbooks, and other production documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics, personnel, and pass‑downs.
- Report operational status, issues, and improvement opportunities to management.
- Maintain compliance with FDA, EU, and other applicable regulatory standards.
- Support audits, inspections, investigations, and CAPAs related to deviations, non‑conformances, and quality events.
- Collaborate with QA and compliance teams to ensure timely QMS closure and batch release.
- Ensure adherence to EHS policies, incident reporting, and hazard mitigation.
- Lead safety audits and corrective actions, promoting a zero‑injury mindset.
- Oversee cleanliness, organization, and readiness of production areas and equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; HS diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Sterile Practices, TPM, TQM or other continuous improvement methodologies desired.
- 2+ years in a regulated manufacturing industry with at least 1 year in a lead role.
- Ability to adapt in a fast‑paced environment and manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- ABU Specialist experience desired.
- Supervisory experience desired.
- Pharmaceutical experience desired.
- SAP knowledge required.
- Office proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) required.
- Skilled in operational oversight, mechanical aptitude, and manual dexterity.
- Basic cGMP and sanitization processes required.
- Effective communication across departments and ability to produce clear technical reports.
- Leadership, conflict management, and influencing skills required.
Location: Spokane, WA — On Site
Shift: Monday‑Friday, 7:00 AM‑4:00 PM
Hiring Wage: $81,800.00 – $ (with opportunities for growth, promotion, and annual raises)
