Job Description

The Technician I – Manufacturing supports manufacturing operations in a highly controlled aseptic environment. The role ensures adherence to established procedures, performs product inspection and basic processing tasks, and maintains accurate documentation in compliance with GMP requirements to support product quality and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Operate manufacturing equipment within the ABU production area safely, efficiently, and compliantly.
  • Perform cleaning and sanitization of aseptic and production areas in accordance with established procedures and environmental standards.
  • Prepare, decase, and stage materials to support production activities and ensure readiness for manufacturing operations.
  • Utilize measurement equipment (e.g., scales) to accurately weigh and verify materials in accordance with batch records and specifications.
  • Perform calculations, including percentages and material quantities, to ensure accurate preparation and processing of materials.
  • Inspect incoming and in-process materials to verify quality, condition, and conformance to specifications.
  • Apply aseptic techniques consistently to maintain sterile conditions and prevent product contamination.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment in accordance with GMP and safety standards.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), batch records, and work instructions for all assigned tasks.
  • Accurately complete and maintain production documentation in compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support the production of manufactured goods.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience operating production and cleaning equipment.
  • Use of measurement devices (e.g., scales) required.
  • Basic arithmetic and percentage calculations required.
  • Documentation and record‑keeping required.
  • Inspection and quality verification of materials required.
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques and cleanroom protocols required.
  • Adherence to SOPs and safety guidelines required.
  • Attention to detail ensures accuracy in measurements, documentation, and inspections.
  • Dependability: reliable attendance and consistent performance.
  • Teamwork: works effectively with others to meet production goals.
  • Adaptability: responds positively to changes in procedures or priorities.
  • Accountability: takes ownership of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Communication: clearly communicates issues or needs to supervisors and team members.
  • Initiative: proactively identifies and addresses minor issues before they escalate.
  • Relevant experience in a GMP‑regulated pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or production environment preferred.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.
  • Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to quality and compliance.
  • Ability to perform basic calculations, including percentages, to support accurate material preparation and processing.
  • Comfortable working in cleanroom or aseptic environments and adhering to gowning and contamination control requirements.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Familiarity with computerized systems (e.g., SAP) and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
Location

Spokane, WA – On‑site, full‑time.

Shift

Monday‑Friday – Hours vary.

Compensation & Benefits
