Electrical/Electronics Technician
Under general supervision, the Electrical/Electronics Technician performs electrical tasks including, but not limited to:
- Build, wire, and assemble mechanical and electrical automated machinery based on engineered blueprints.
- Program, calibrate, and optimize automated machinery, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs, or robotic systems.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, or software issues. Test automated systems for optimal performance and safety compliance.
There are 3 grades in the Electrical/Electronics Technician classification with each grade advancement being inclusive of the prior in the sequence. Preceding advancement to the next grade, team members are required to actively participate in the safety process, have a clean work record clear of any disciplinary actions for 12 months, and have a promotion recommendation by their respective lead and supervisor.

Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manor

Demonstrate proper use of all safety equipment through everyday use and practice
Perform material handling duties (part identification and handling, loading trucks, basic rigging)
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools related to machine building
Perform duties as assigned by lead or supervisor
Attend all required team and company meetings
Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area through continuous 7S efforts
Level 3:
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, specifications, and work orders to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions
Detect defective material, unusual conditions or operating difficulties and report to proper supervisor describing in accurate detail to ensure proper corrective actions
Complete necessary documentation to ensure quality and production requirements
Actively participate in testing of completed machines; diagnose and remedy electrical programs

Applies and understands the engineering change order process and submits to his/her respective supervisor proposed changes for engineering approval
Demonstrates working knowledge of 3-phase wiring (polarity of each leg)
Actively participate on lean project teams supporting Alliance's continuous improvement process
Provide manufacturing input into research and development activities
Plots labels, terminal markers, machine wiring and print labels for panels
Ability to coordinate multiple assignments, handle increased responsibility, and apply sound judgment within the scope of responsibility as required
Assemble, tests, and troubleshoots complex assemblies using blueprints, diagrams, and or schematics
Demonstrate proficiency or ability to explain Visual MRP (find blueprints, part structure, part location, and man-hour reporting)
Independently performs testing and ring-out of completed machines; displays capability to diagnose and remedy electrical program issues
Train lower-level Electrical Technicians in assembly and diagnostic techniques
Demonstrate advanced understanding of machine and system functionality across product lines
Demonstrate advanced proficiency in electrical controls, sensors, and 3-phase wiring for Alliance product lines
Leads the ring-out of machines (follows ringout sheet, safety requirements, and machine troubleshooting)
Assists Field Service and Engineering with manufacturing issues, installations, design solutions, and high-level machine operation
Assist as necessary to maintain proper flow of work through the assigned area; participate in training less experienced associates

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Advanced blueprint/schematic reading. Military, trade school or community college coursework in mechanical/electrical assembly, repair, and troubleshooting desired.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires a high level of physical flexibility, strength, and stamina, including the ability to: see and assess drawings, photos, and written instructions; audibly hear verbal instructions and mechanical signals (forklifts, cranes, machine alarms, etc.); and speak, read, write, and communicate effectively.
