Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm (OT)
Operation of Meat Processing Equipment;
Cryo Vac, Multi Vacs, Dicers, Needle, Slicer, Portion Cutters, Scales, Pack, trim and customize portions of meat products using knives, or other meat production equipment.
- Count and stack on tray portions per customer and company specifications.
- Label portion with supplied number product labels.
- Set up packing and labeling area as required.
- Perform end of day functions.
- Actively maintain, and merchandise partial cart.
- Keep packing area, cutting room and surrounding area clean and sanitized.
- Follow company GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) to maintain sanitary conditions.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
The incumbent is not required to provide direct supervision for any position.
RELATIONSHIPSInternal:
The incumbent is required to interact with employees at all levels of responsibility throughout the company.
External:
The incumbent may be required to perform demonstration cuts or packing for tours, and sales team.
Work continually in a refrigerated environment 35°F-45°F. Incumbent must have the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Finish time is when work is completed and could require overtime with or without notice.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSExperience with Cryo Vac, Multi Vac, Dicers, Needle, Slicer, Portion Cutter, laser portion machinery or other meat production equipment is preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Knowledge of all poultry, beef, lamb, and pork products.
- Knowledge of USDA grades and standards.
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS- Stand continuously.
- Walk occasionally.
- Lift 1-10 lbs (Sedentary) occasionally; 11-20 lbs (Light) frequently; 21-50 lbs (Medium) frequently; 51-100 lbs (Heavy) occasionally.
- Carry 1-10 lbs (Sedentary) occasionally; 11-20 lbs (Light) occasionally; 21-50 lbs (Medium) frequently; 51-100 lbs (Heavy) occasionally.
- Push/pull frequently.
- Climb/balance frequently.
- Stoop/squat frequently.
- Bend frequently.
- Reach above shoulder occasionally.
- Twist frequently.
- Grasp objects continuously.
- Manipulate objects frequently.
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $22.00 and $24.00 per hour. As applicable, this role will also receive overtime compensation.
