Job Summary
At Collins Aerospace Carbon Operations in Spokane, WA we specialize in producing carbon brakes for commercial and military aircraft. We are hiring an entry‑level Furnace Deck Operator I. The role involves operating high‑temperature furnaces, managing equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts, and ensuring product quality and safety throughout all furnace operations.
Responsibilities- Operate furnaces for carbon vapor deposition, loading/unloading and performing monitoring of process temperatures.
- Maneuver high‑capacity cranes, forklifts and other equipment to assist in production activities.
- Support automated robot systems and troubleshoot mechanical or process issues.
- Adhere to Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) regulations, identify hazards and maintain safety protocols.
- Complete data entry and process monitoring using basic to intermediate computer skills.
- Lift up to 25 lbs. (over 25 lbs. requires assistance).
- Follow a 4‑on/4‑off, 12‑hour rotating shift schedule (day/night change every 6 weeks).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience using hand tools.
- Manufacturing or related industry experience.
- Experience with inventory control.
- Ability to prioritize tasks under constantly changing conditions with ingenuity and judgment.
- Built‑in guaranteed overtime.

- Base annual compensation starting at $58,000 per year.
- Hourly Rate: $22/hr
- Shift Differential (always active): $2.75/hr
