Plant Manager

We are conducting a confidential search for a Plant Manager to lead an established electronics manufacturing operation through its next phase of operational and technical improvement.

This opportunity is best suited for a hands‑on, technically minded manufacturing leader who enjoys solving complex problems, challenging existing processes, and driving meaningful change across an organization.

The Plant Manager will have responsibility for the overall performance of the facility, including operations, engineering, quality, supply chain, and continuous improvement. While day‑to‑day execution is important, the primary objective is to identify opportunities within the operation and build the systems, processes, and accountability necessary to improve performance.

• Provide overall leadership for plant operations, engineering, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing performance
• Evaluate current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve throughput, quality, cost, and on‑time delivery
• Lead operational and technical improvement initiatives across the facility
• Develop and implement stronger manufacturing systems, processes, KPIs, and accountability
• Partner closely with engineering and technical teams to solve manufacturing challenges and improve product flow
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction, capacity, and scalability
• Develop plant leadership and create a culture of ownership, urgency, and problem solving
• Utilize manufacturing data and financial metrics to identify issues and prioritize improvement opportunities
• Support capital equipment, automation, process improvement, and technology initiatives
• Ensure the facility maintains high standards for safety, quality, customer service, and regulatory compliance
• Work closely with executive leadership to establish and execute the long‑term operational strategy for the facility

• Plant Manager, Operations Manager, Director of Operations, Manufacturing Manager, or similar leadership experience
• Strong background within electronics, electrical, electromechanical, or technically complex manufacturing environments
• Demonstrated success improving an operation rather than simply maintaining one
• Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, engineering, and process improvement
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams including operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain
• Proven ability to identify operational constraints and implement sustainable improvements
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, automation, or manufacturing technology initiatives
• Strong understanding of manufacturing KPIs, cost, labor efficiency, quality, throughput, and on‑time delivery
• Ability to operate effectively in an environment undergoing change

We are looking for a leader who is comfortable getting into the details of the operation while maintaining a broader strategic perspective.

The right individual will be technically credible, analytical, decisive, and willing to challenge the status quo. This person should be equally comfortable working with engineers on a manufacturing problem, walking the production floor with supervisors, analyzing performance data, and communicating priorities to executive leadership.
