* Open to non-local candidates willing to travel to the area Mon-Fri. Travel (hotel/airfare/car rental) is booked and paid for by Apex Systems and we offer a $75 per diem to cover meals when traveling.
** Pay Rate:** $60/hour

Role Overview We are seeking a technical Project Manager (CPM) to support the deployment of advanced robotics systems within fulfillment center environments. This role requires a blend of project management capabilities and hands-on controls engineering expertise, with a focus on field execution, troubleshooting, and system startup. The CPM will play a key role in the rollout of complex robotic stow and pick automation systems, working onsite to interface with engineers and technicians and contribute to issue resolution during deployment.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead onsite coordination of robotics deployment activities across stow and pick systems.
* Manage schedules, field execution, and overall project delivery timelines.
* Coordinate with system leads, engineers, and contractors to ensure successful rollout.
* Track progress, risks, and issues, and drive timely resolution.
* Support shift planning and execution in a potential multi-shift environment.
* Act as a technical PM who is productive in the field, not purely administrative.
* Troubleshoot electrical, low-voltage, and industrial network issues in real time.
* Support commissioning and startup of robotic stow and pick systems.
* Collaborate directly with controls engineers and onsite leads to stabilize systems.
* Ensure systems transition from installation to operational readiness.

Required Qualifications
*
* Experience:

** 5+ years of PLC Commissioning experience, along with Lead and/or PM experience.
** Technical

Skills:

*** Strong hands-on experience with PLCs (programming, troubleshooting, or support), robotic workstations or automation systems, electrical troubleshooting (low-voltage systems), and industrial networking.
* Proven ability to work in onsite, field-based environments for commissioning and deployment.
* Experience troubleshooting powered devices and automation systems.
* Strong communication skills to interface with both technical teams and leadership.
* Ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly technical deployment environment.

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Universal Robots (UR) systems.
* Familiarity with Code Assist PLC tools.
* Prior experience with warehouse automation or fulfillment robotics environments.
* Exposure to stow and pick automation systems.
* Background supporting large-scale robotics or automation deployments.
* Experience working in a technical PM or lead-support capacity.
