26-27 Gonzaga Univ Sustainability and Resilience Prog Coor

This is an Ameri Corps/Washington Service Corps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled. Gonzaga is a Jesuit, Catholic, and humanistic institution. We are called to care for the planet and be a responsible steward of our fiscal, human, and earthly resources. We collaborate with other higher education institutions on sustainability best practices. The member will engage students, employees, and the community in care for the planet through three programs.

The Employee Sustainability Ambassadors Program (ESA), Student Sustainability Leadership Program (SSLP), and Resilience Academy (RA) parallel each other in content and purpose every spring. SSLP participants complete community sustainability projects. ESA and RA participants mentor SSLP participants. They also serve as community educators for the City of Spokane Sustainability Action planning process. We expect to begin rolling review of applications and interviews in early June.

Member Duties :
The Sustainability and Resilience Program Coordinator will help Gonzaga build the sustainability capacity of our community through three leadership programs:
Employee Sustainability Ambassadors Program (ESA), Student Sustainability Leadership Program (SSLP), and Resilience Academy (RA). They will design and implement an outreach campaign to promote programs; develop the application process that is specific to students, employees, and community members; plan educational events on waste, energy, water, and food/agriculture; collaborate across different organizations to incorporate expert guest presenters into programming; develop a listserv and communication plan to keep past participants engaged;

coordinate annual program check in for current and past participants.
