Role MissionPath of Hope relies on volunteers to achieve its mission. The Volunteer Interviewer will support the continuous flow of qualified volunteers by interviewing candidates and assessing whether they can integrate into the Rescue and effectively perform the role and duties as assigned.
What Winning Looks Like Key Results Area #1 - Roles- Familiar with organization structure of the Rescue
- Familiar with job descriptions and understand the purpose of each role to offer alternatives when skills fit other roles
- Keep and update your personal schedule
- Adherence to interview schedules with minimal rescheduling
- Daily check-ins with remote platform and leader
- Conduct 30-minute phone interviews effectively, ensuring all key questions are covered with a professional and engaging experience for candidates
- Assess candidate suitability for specific volunteer roles based on skills, availability, and alignment with the Rescue's Core Values and role KRAs
- Provide detailed interview notes and recommendations for each candidate
- Timely follow-up with team leads for role placement within 24 hours of the interview
- Must love dogs and people. Ability to convey passion for the mission
- Active listening with a conversational style; ability to listen for context clues on suitable role fit
- Self-motivated and able to work without constant supervision
- Ability to manage your schedule and provide daily check-ins via remote chat
Our Mission: At Path of Hope Rescue we save pregnant dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters in the Southern United States. Our Spokane, Washington-based Rescue aims to decrease euthanasia by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest for adoption. We operate 100% foster-based with no kennel location and rely on volunteers and fosters as we build paid staff roles.
Our Vision: Eliminating euthanasia of dogs in the South by reducing unchecked breeding and becoming the leading dog rescue destination in Spokane.
