This is an Ameri Corps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled. Ecostudies Institute is a non‑profit located in Olympia, WA. We focus on the conservation of native species and their ecosystems. We address complex environmental challenges through partnerships, conservation research, and strategic, science‑based management. The member will serve on a cohort focused on different aspects of prairie restoration.
They will balance their time between hands‑on restoration tasks and community outreach. We seek people with a passion for ecosystem conservation and restoration. The ability to serve mostly outdoors and experience with communications and social media are desired. We expect to begin rolling review of applications and interviews in mid‑late September. Monthly stipend amount: $2,438.
The Restoration and Outreach Coordinator will support our conservation efforts by assisting with on‑the‑ground restoration and cooperative regional outreach. They will assist in restoration activities such as prescribed burns, invasive species removal, and native planting; support and assist with workshops, webinars, and conferences; design communication materials such as web content and social media posts; collaborate with a wide variety of private landowners, Tribal partners, and government entities at multiple prairie sites.
