Position: Registered Nurse (Wound Care)
The Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center in Spokane, WA is currently seeking a registered nurse to serve as a wound care specialist. This position includes an attestation for wound care certification, contingent upon the selected applicant not already possessing certification from a VA-approved certifying organization. Additionally, the applicant is expected to obtain and maintain this certification throughout their tenure in the position.

The Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center in Spokane, WA is currently seeking a registered nurse to serve as a wound care specialist. This position includes an attestation for wound care certification, contingent upon the selected applicant not already possessing certification from a VA-approved certifying organization. Additionally, the applicant is expected to obtain and maintain this certification throughout their tenure in the position.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

* Responsible for providing competent, evidence-based specialty care to assigned patients and oversight of licensed practical nurses/nursing assistants/health technicians/orthopedic technicians, as appropriate to the clinic setting.

* Provides direct patient care, care coordination, health promotion, health education and coaching on wellness, disease prevention, and chronic care management.

* Collaborates with the patient, family/caregivers, interdisciplinary team, community, and other Veterans Affairs facility caregivers across the continuum of care to meet patient and clinic needs.

* Facilitates safe transitions of care and respectful, effective, timely, and bidirectional communication using formal and informal platforms as appropriate.

* Will assist in directing the provision of nursing education, orientation, competencies and providing quality improvement and outcomes utilization.

* Demonstrates leadership in delivering and improving holistic, specialty care through collaborative strategies with others.

* Evaluates practice in an ongoing process, based on best evidence.

* Provides peers with informal constructive feedback for improvement.

* Fosters a safe and supportive environment conducive to the professional development of healthcare professionals.

* Contributes professional nursing perspective in discussions with the interdisciplinary team.

* Partners with others to effect change and produce optimal outcomes.

* Supports colleagues through knowledge sharing to provide safe, quality specialty nursing care.

* Shares educational findings, experiences, and ideas with peers.

* Questions clinical practices for the purpose of providing evidence-based care.

* Participates in activities and strategies to sustain an evidence-based-practice culture.

* Demonstrates willingness to float to other specialty clinics as needed to meet patient care needs.

Pay:
Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards

Paid Time Off: 50 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)
