ResponsibilitiesThe Supervisor Transplant RN is responsible for assisting the Manager of Clinic Operations in providing overall leadership and direction for the unit and for creating an environment that fosters a multidisciplinary team and collaborative approach to care that achieves operational and clinical "Best Practice". Participates with the Manager in overseeing all aspects of the care delivery system and works organizationally to improve service.
Participates with the Manager to create and implement quality improvement initiatives, monitoring performance monthly, based on metrics and decisions made collectively by the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) team. Directs the professional nursing care for patients in the assigned area. Responsible for leading, coaching, mentoring and modeling service excellence behaviors to nurses and staff, with a heavy emphasis on constructive communication and customer service.
Responsible for providing input and feedback to the Manager and Director for performing probationary and annual performance evaluations for relevant staff, and for helping to develop expectations for staff in order to reach "Best Practice". Participates in interview process for relevant new candidates and provides feedback to Manager around decisions to hire applicants. Responsible for orienting relevant new employees and provides input and feedback to Manager re: new employees' progress during probationary period.
Works collaboratively with physician leaders to develop methods for improving the quality of care delivered overall.
The Supervisor Transplant RN is involved in all phases of the transplant process, while continuing to actively work in a phase of care for transplant patients. The ability to work and communicate professionally and effectively with team members, to demonstrate positive, solution-driven interactions, to evaluate interactions from multiple perspectives, and to serve as a role model for other staff is critical to this role.
With passion, skill, creativity, respect, and a positive approach, assumes accountability to peers, and functions as a strong team player in caring for patients. With self-direction and the ability to multitask, assesses needs and patient expectations, delivers "Best Practice" to achieve increased patient satisfaction, and sets and exceeds patient expectations.
Required Qualifications- Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing
- Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire
- National Provider BLS
- American Heart Association upon hire - 2 years of recent experience in related clinical area of nursing with demonstrated clinical knowledge and leadership qualities
- 2 years of recent experience in transplant organization
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC)
Pay Range: $53.70–$84.78 per hour. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
