• Degree from an accredited nursing program
• BLS, ACLS, PALS & TNCC may be required in some positions
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an acute care emergency room setting
• Other requirements to be determined by the client facility

Emergency Room registered nurses provide care for patients with various illnesses or traumas requiring emergency attention and must be able to recognize and effectively treat life‑threatening conditions.

• Assess, intervene, and stabilize a variety of trauma and illnesses with decisive action.
• Demonstrate knowledge of general and specific health issues due to the range of medical conditions that may require urgent treatment.
• Understand triage and prioritize injuries based on medical need.
• Make quick and accurate assessments of incoming patients, including physical and mental health conditions.
