Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
• Valid RN license required
• Certifications:
  
  BLS, ACLS; CCRN preferred
• Experience with CRRT and ventilator management
• Familiarity with invasive monitoring and management of mechanical circulatory support

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients in the cardiovascular intensive care unit.
• Manage post-operative care following cardiac and vascular surgeries, including CABG and valve repair/replacement.
• Administer and titrate vasoactive medications and manage dysrhythmias.
• Perform invasive monitoring, including arterial lines, central lines, and Swan-Ganz catheters.
• Oversee blood product administration and chest tube care.
• Implement therapeutic hypothermia and manage patients on mechanical circulatory support devices.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation: 36 hours
• Compliance documents due Monday prior to start
• RTO must be listed at the time of submission; post-submission RTO may not be approved
