Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

This is a night shift position working 3 x 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Weekends are required with some weekend shifts included.

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) who is prepared to float between units as necessary. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing high-risk cases, labor management, and handling maternal emergencies. This role is supported by an interdisciplinary team, providing comprehensive patient care for various age groups including neonates and adults.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care for laboring patients, including active management of labor, induction, and augmentation.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries, including C-sections and VBAC/TOLAC procedures.
• Monitor and manage maternal emergencies and high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia and diabetes.
• Utilize advanced medical techniques such as IUPC placement and calibration.
• Administer medication and manage therapy protocols, including insulin and magnesium sulfate drips.
• Educate patients and families regarding childbirth and postpartum care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of Charge RN experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Current RN license in Washington or Compact license.
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
