Job Summary:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join the IV Therapy team. This role is responsible for providing specialized vascular access and infusion-related nursing care while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support safe and effective patient treatment. The ideal candidate will have strong acute care experience, excellent clinical assessment skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Assess patients for vascular access and infusion therapy needs
- Insert, manage, and monitor peripheral and central venous access devices
- Administer IV medications and therapies according to established protocols
- Monitor patients for complications and respond appropriately
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Educate patients and families regarding IV therapy and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program
- Active Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association
- Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience with a similar patient population or completion of a specialty residency program
