American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Level II Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 2 years of L&D experience and Epic proficiency.
Details- Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a 629-bed short-term acute care hospital, Level II Trauma Center, and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
- Teaching hospital environment
- High-risk L&D patient population including antepartum, pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC, induction/augmentation, and maternal emergencies
- Patient ratios:
Labor 1:2, Antepartum 1:3 - Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- Some weekend shifts required
- Floating between units and across all facilities within the state is expected
- No on-call required
- Charting via Epic (required)
- No block scheduling required
- Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with high-risk labor and delivery including antepartum care, pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC, active labor management, induction/augmentation, and maternal emergencies
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Provide nursing care to high-risk laboring and antepartum patients, including active management of labor, inductions, and maternal emergencies
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
- Former permanent staff at this health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
- Former permanent employees must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
- No scrub color restriction for RNs — any color is acceptable
