American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Level II Trauma teaching hospital, requiring Epic proficiency and high-risk L&D experience.
Details- Work setting is a 629-bed short-term acute care hospital, Level II Trauma Center, Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, and teaching facility
- Assignment is in the Labor & Delivery unit with floating required between units and across facilities within the state
- High-risk L&D patient population including antepartum, pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC, induction/augmentation, and maternal emergencies
- Patient ratios:
Labor 1:2, Antepartum 1:3 - Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- Some weekend shifts required
- No on-call required
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
- Active WA RN license or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of L&D RN experience required
- High-risk Labor & Delivery experience required (antepartum, pre-eclampsia, VBAC/TOLAC, maternal emergencies)
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Responsibilities include active management of laboring patients, induction/augmentation, and response to maternal emergencies
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
- Former permanent employees of the facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Previous work at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem) must be disclosed during the consideration process
