Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00). Some weekend shifts required.

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide care for patients during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period, while floating between units as needed. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in high-risk obstetrics and demonstrate the ability to manage acute maternal emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage labor and delivery for both low and high-risk patients.
• Perform assessments and interventions for antepartum patients, including those with diabetes, pre-eclampsia, and other complications.
• Assist with labor induction and augmentation, as well as vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.
• Conduct patient education and discharge planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
• Current RN license - Compact license must be in hand at submission.
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
