Requirements:

• License:
  Compact state nursing license required
• Certifications:
  
  BLS, NRP required
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 1 year NICU experience required
• EMR:
  Experience with Epic charting system required
• Skills:
• Neonatal respiratory support: CPAP/HFNC, ventilator familiarity
• Vascular/lines: UAC/UVC, central line care, IV starts, blood product administration
• Common NICU care:
  Phototherapy, thermoregulation, feeding tube management, neonatal dosing, sepsis management

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care to neonates in the NICU.
• Monitor and manage respiratory support for neonates.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including blood products.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Educate and support families regarding neonatal care and development.
• Implement family-centered care practices.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation: 24 hours
• Weekend availability required (variable; every other or as needed)
• Must be willing to float to all units as needed, with travel nurses floating first
• Must be willing to work 3 of the following holidays:
  Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
• Scrub color:
  Any color
• Background checks are required, and facility does not accept Nursys or background hits.
