Job Description:

Title:

NICU Registered Nurse

Requirements:

- Compact state license must be in hand at submission

- BLS certification

- NRP certification

- Minimum of 1 year of NICU experience

- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically Epic

Key neonatal skills including but not limited to:

- Neonatal ventilator support (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BiPAP/PEEP), HFNC, bubble CPAP, oscillators, nitric oxide

- Management of umbilical lines (UAC/UVC), central line care, arterial line management

- IV/vasopressor administration and blood product administration

- Placement and management of feeding tubes (OG/NG/NJ), gavage feeds, breastfeeding support

- Phototherapy, therapeutic hypothermia, surfactant administration

- Care for neonatal sepsis, NEC, NAS, and neonatal dosage calculations

- Familiarity with NRP and neonatal resuscitation interventions

Compliance / Notes:

- Orientation is 24 hours (plus modules/NBO time)

- Weekend requirement is variable / every other or as needed

- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 listed holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, NYE, New Year's Day)

- Background checks:
The facility does not accept Nursys or background "hits"

- Submittal limits:
Can only be submitted to 1 facility at a time

- Floating policy:
Refusal to float may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours

- No fee for parking

- Scrubs: RN can wear any color
