RN SDC​/Infection Preventionist

As an RN SDC/Infection Preventionist at Life Care Centers, you will provide clinical leadership in staff development and infection prevention for senior residents. You will design and deliver nursing education, ensure regulatory compliance, conduct infection surveillance, and implement evidence based infection control practices. Collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams, you'll support high quality, patient first care in a family focused environment while mentoring nurses, leading audits, tracking outcomes, and promoting continuous improvement in safety and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and deliver clinical and regulatory training for nursing staff
• Plan and maintain staff education programs and competencies
• Lead infection prevention and control program, including surveillance and reporting
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility infection control regulations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to improve resident outcomes and safety
• Conduct audits, monitor trends, and implement quality improvement initiatives
• Educate staff on standard precautions, PPE, and outbreak management
• Support onboarding and orientation for new clinical staff
• Maintain accurate training, infection surveillance, and compliance documentation
• Serve as clinical resource and mentor to nursing team
