Located in Spokane Valley, WA, this facility features a 123-bed capacity and serves as a Level 3 Trauma Center. The hospital specializes in a range of patient care, particularly catering to the geriatric population as well as individuals experiencing abdominal pain, chest pain, strokes, psychiatric emergencies, and respiratory issues. Additionally, the emergency department serves approximately 15% pediatric patients.
This position involves working in a community hospital setting with a supportive team structure. With a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4, you will have the opportunity to deliver quality care in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills and
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- CPI or MOAB (Crisis Prevention Institute or Management of Aggressive Behavior)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
Support and Resources:
- Emergency Department Technicians with phlebotomy certification
- 3 Technicians available from 7a-7p and 7p-7a
- Receptionist and Health Unit Coordinator available 24/7
- Critical care floats available as needed
- Respiratory Therapy and Hospitalist services available 24/7
- Telemetry monitoring at patient bedside and at the nurse's station

Orientation and Training:
Orientation includes a comprehensive 1-week program covering NEO, EPIC training, skills check-off, and position-specific training with 2 to 3 precepted shifts.
Scheduling:
- Weekend rotation: every other weekend
- Holiday Expectations: 1 holiday per contract
- Shift Times:
Varied, including days, mid-shifts, and nights - Schedule Cycle: 6 weeks
Additional Information:
Free parking is available. The facility has interventional radiology services, but cardiac catheterization patients are transferred to a different facility as there is no dedicated Cath lab open 24 hours.
