Neuro Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift
This is a 13-week contract position.
Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00), every other weekend required.
The Neuro Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) provides care for patients with various neurological diagnoses, including post-surgical neurology patients. This position requires proficiency in managing telemetry patients and utilizing the NIH stroke scale.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to patients in the neurology/telemetry unit.
- Monitor and interpret patient telemetry data, including the management of dysrhythmias.
- Assist in pre/post-operative care for neurosurgical patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, and rapid response teams.
- Perform assessments and administer medications according to established protocols.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in neurology or telemetry nursing.
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
- Experience in a designated stroke unit is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using Epic charting system.
