Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Neurology)

Spokane, WA

Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Weekends required (every other weekend)

• Provide direct patient care for telemetry patients with neurological diagnoses, including post-surgical neurology patients
• Perform and document NIH Stroke Scale assessments accurately and consistently holiday
• Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 1:5 in accordance with unit standards
• Float between units as needed based on facility staffing requirements
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient outcomes across a short-term acute care environment
• Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience
• Neurology nursing experience required, including comfort with the NIH Stroke Scale
• Proficiency in caring for post-surgical neurology patients and varied neurology diagnoses
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify under travel compliance guidelines

• Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center or large acute care hospital setting
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in a high-acuity neurology environment
• Experience floating between multiple units or sister facilities

• Opportunity to work at a large teaching hospital and Level II Trauma Center with a robust neurology program
• No on-call requirements and no parking fees, allowing for a more predictable and cost-effective work experience
