The Johns Hopkins Hospital's Cardiac Care Unit is a 12-bed Intensive Care Unit. The staff care for patients with acute myocardial infarction and complications including cardiogenic shock, post‑infarction angina and congestive heart failure. We also care for many other critically ill patients suffering from severe cardiomyopathies, valvular heart disease and life‑threatening arrhythmias. This is a cardiac medicine unit, therefore patients’ post- CABG, valve replacements, transplant, LVAD placement are transferred to the CVSICU (Surgical ICU) for recovery.

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required.
• 1 year of acute care (hospital) tech experience.
• BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.
