American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Stepdown/PCU position requiring cardiac drip titration experience and a WA or compact RN license in hand.
Requirements- Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum of 1 year of stepdown or PCU nursing experience required
- Cardiac drip titration and management experience is a hardstop requirement
- Epic charting experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Stepdown/PCU unit in a short term acute care, Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center teaching hospital
- Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
- Patient ratios of 1:4-5
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- May float to Tele or Med-Surg floors if overstaffed, with priority given to travelers
- May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted site
- Epic charting system used
- Manage patients with cardiac telemetry, respiratory, renal, neurological, and gastrointestinal needs
- Perform cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
- Skills include central/peripheral/PICC line care, IV therapy, wound care, and insulin drip titration
- Scrub color for RNs is any color
- No parking fee at this facility
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Candidates may choose one holiday off between Thanksgiving or Christmas, but not both
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel employee and must not live within 50 miles of the facility
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for standard travel bill rate
