Job Summary:

Telemetry (TELE) Registered Nurse (RN) position located at a short-term acute care facility. The role involves floating between units within a neuroscience-focused unit, providing care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The RN is responsible for caring for neurosurgical and neurological patients, proficient in the NIH Stroke Scale, and supporting stroke and epilepsy patients in a JCAHO-designated specialty unit.

  Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  
  Valid compact state license, at least 1 year of experience, proficiency with the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), neuro experience, ACLS, BLS certifications, and experience with charting in Epic system.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Experience in neurology/neurosurgery, stroke certification, and familiarity with specialized neurological procedures.
• Float:
  Float rotation may be required to meet unit needs.
• Additional Information:
  The position involves caring for neuro patients including post-surgical neurology, stroke, and epilepsy patients. The unit is designated as a stroke center with JCAHO designation, and experience with neuro-specific procedures such as management of chest tubes, neuro stepdown, and procedural sedation is required. Candidates will be expected to work three of the five major holidays, with all scheduling requests to be made upfront during submittal.

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
