American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN with neurology experience for a night shift position requiring NIHSS proficiency and WA or compact RN licensure.
Details- Work in the Telemetry unit of a short term acute care, Level II Trauma and Level II Pediatric Trauma teaching hospital
- Care for post-surgical neurology patients and various neurology diagnoses
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required between units and potentially between sister facilities
- No on-call responsibilities
- Uses Epic charting system
- Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Neurology RN experience required, including comfort with the NIH Stroke Scale
- Proficiency in caring for post-surgical neurology and craniotomy patients, CVA, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
- Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management and chest tubes preferred
- Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring
- Epic charting experience required
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Full SSN and DOB required for compliance
- Provide telemetry and neuro stepdown level nursing care to a post-surgical and diagnostic neurology patient population
- Scrub color is any color for RNs
- No parking fees at this facility
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO changes may not be accommodated
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
- Former Providence permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they live outside a 50-mile radius
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities (permanent, travel, or registry/per-diem)
