About Cat Care Clinic

Cat Care Clinic is a feline-exclusive clinic, and when you walk through our doors, you will find a friendly, hard-working team of assistants and doctors, and a tranquil clinic without the chaos and noise that you might feel is indicative of working in a clinic. Cat Care Clinic provides exams, laboratory testing, radiology, surgery, and boarding. The medical office is open Monday through Saturday, and cat boarding is available every day of the year.

Position Overview

Licensed Veterinary Technician – Cat Care Clinic! This is a leadership role within our clinic, open for part-time and full-time opportunities. Salary ranges from $30.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location. Sign-on bonus: $1,000.

Schedule:

Four-day work week, including an occasional Saturday, 35–40 hours per week.

Location:

1105 Bellevue Way NE, Bellevue, WA 98004 CE. CE allowance: $500.

Who You Are

Do you have a keen interest in education, embracing new technology, and enhancing operational techniques to support a community of fabulous felines? Cat Care Clinic is looking for an exceptional Licensed Veterinary Technician who can step into a full-time position at a small clinic with one to two doctors working per day, in need of a feline fanatic to support them.

This is a very hands-on position where you will be directly supporting the doctor.

Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians in the examination and treatment of cats.
  • Maintain medical records and prepare reports for veterinarians.
  • Provide surgical support and monitor anesthesia on feline patients, including high-risk, medically complex felines.
  • Comfortable with spicy kitties and able to remain calm with fractious cats.
  • Skilled in performing dental radiographs and dental prophylaxis.
  • Advanced, safe handling and positioning for digital radiographs.
  • Perform ultrasound-guided cystocentesis.
  • Utilize and maintain in-house laboratory equipment (Idexx/Vet Scan).
  • Utilize veterinary medical record management software.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and time-management skills.
  • Be respectful of all team members.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, doctors, and all staff members.
  • Collaborate with the practice manager to develop and execute educational programs for team members, focusing on enhancing clinical skills, client communication, and patient care.
  • Assist the practice manager in implementing new operational techniques and protocols to streamline workflow and optimize practice performance.
  • Provide hands-on training and support to team members during the adoption of new technologies and operational procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to veterinary medicine and practice management.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of WA, or eligible to transfer/obtain license within 3 months of hire.
  • Minimum 2 years experience working as a credentialed veterinary technician required.
  • Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred, but not required.
