Lap of Love is seeking compassionate veterinarians to join our growing team. Our doctors provide in-home hospice and euthanasia services, helping pets remain comfortable and surrounded by loved ones while guiding families through end-of-life decisions with empathy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide in-home hospice consultations and euthanasia services for geriatric and terminally ill pets
  • Compassionately guide families through end-of-life decisions
  • Typically perform up to six appointments per day
  • Maintain accurate medical records and appointment documentation
  • Safely handle and maintain DEA-regulated medications
  • Assist with aftercare arrangements and transportation of pets

  • DVM, VMD, BVM&S, or equivalent veterinary degree
  • Active veterinary license and DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
  • Any level of experience welcome
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and client service skills
  • Ability to work independently while delivering compassionate, high-quality care
  • Ability to safely handle and maintain DEA-regulated medications
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds independently
  • Reliable personal vehicle and willingness to travel throughout the designated service area
  • Ability to provide services in a variety of home environments
  • Compassionate, adaptable, and self-motivated approach to patient care
