Associate Veterinarian – Belltowne Veterinary Center in Belfair, WA | Full-Time or Part-Time
Looking for a veterinary team where you can practice great medicine, grow your skills, and feel supported every step of the way? Belltowne Veterinary Center is a close-knit, community-focused practice in Belfair, WA, looking for a talented veterinarian to join our team.
We’re proud of the culture we’ve built: dedicated people who genuinely like working together, support one another, and know how to have fun outside of work, too. If you’re looking for a practice where you can build relationships with your clients and patients while being part of an experienced, collaborative team, we’d love to meet you.
Why Belltowne? A Team Built to Support YouOur team is one of the things that makes Belltowne special. We’re a close-knit group that genuinely enjoys working together, jumps in to help one another, and supports a healthy work-life balance. Most days, we have to convince people to go home because they enjoy hanging out together so much!
You’ll also have an experienced team behind you:
- Hospital Manager: 30+ years in veterinary medicine and at Belltowne since 2009
- Chief of Staff: 13 years of veterinary experience, with a passion for surgery and mentorship; she sees dogs, cats, and pocket pets and is happy to mentor doctors interested in developing their skills
- Dedicated support:
Each doctor has an experienced assistant who gets to know their clients and helps keep appointments moving smoothly - Treatment support:
Our back-of-house treatment staff handles diagnostics and treatments as directed by the veterinarian and stays in communication with the doctor, allowing you and your assistant to move on to the next appointment - Experienced LVT team:
Two experienced LVTs, with 8-17 years at Belltowne - Continued learning:
Several team members have completed Fear Free training, with others currently enrolled, along with low-stress handling training and hands‑free radiography training - The result is a collaborative environment where you have the people, resources, and support around you to provide excellent patient care without having to do it all yourself.
Our building has been remodeled specifically to function as a veterinary hospital and is exceptionally well maintained. The result is a beautiful, spacious facility with a great flow, an open treatment area, dedicated surgery and radiology suites, and plenty of room for the team to work comfortably.
Over the past few years, we’ve also replaced much of our equipment, so you’ll be working with modern tools and technology, including:
- Digital radiography
- Digital dental radiography
- Ultrasound
- In-house IDEXX chemistry, CBC, and urinalysis
- Large surgery suite
- Lift treatment table
- 7 spacious exam rooms
- Class IV Laser Therapy
- Fully stocked pharmacy
- AVImark practice management software
- Option to utilize AI-assisted SOAP notes
We work closely with the Humane Society of Mason County, which is conveniently located right across the street. We also work with organizations that provide financial assistance to help make veterinary care accessible to more families, including Concern for Animals.
And yes, there is usually a Humane Society cat around for a little extra emotional support when you need it. We’re also currently fostering a chinchilla for the Humane Society - because one adorable office guest just wasn’t enough!
Currently, our caseload is primarily dogs and cats. Our Chief of Staff, Dr. Thompson, does see pocket pets and exotics, and the team is receiving training in handling these patients. We’re taking a thoughtful, gradual approach to expanding our team’s experience and comfort with these patients.
