Job Description
Martekhas been awarded several long-term Federal contracts to provide a wide range of real estate talent. Our team is seeking a Safety Specialist - Occupancy & Building Safety to join our team supporting the Department of Energy (DoE) with the required education and experience outlined below.
Part‑Time, 20 Hours per Week
Site Address
: 1000 Independence Ave SW, Washington, DC 20024
- Conduct building safety assessments covering ergonomics, emergency exits, signage, air quality, and occupancy readiness.
- Verify compliance with OSHA standards and DOE safety policies.
- Develop and implement occupancy safety plans, including emergency evacuation procedures.
- Support hazard identification and mitigation during move activities.
- Coordinate safety training and onboarding for personnel entering the new facility.
- Perform walkthroughs pre- and post-move to validate safe working conditions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, or related field
OR equivalent combination of education and experience - Certifications such as CSP, ASP, or OHST
Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
