Job Description:

Analytical Quality Control Intern-The Analytical Quality Control Intern will support routine laboratory operations within a pharmaceutical contract manufacturing quality control environment. This temporary position is designed to provide hands-on experience in a GMP laboratory while assisting with fundamental analytical and laboratory support activities. The intern will work under the supervision of experienced QC analysts and laboratory management. The internship will run for an estimated duration of 3–4 months, with a flexible schedule of 20–40 hours per week, depending on laboratory workload and business needs.

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing or recently completed coursework in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related scientific discipline required.

Ability to follow written procedures and instructions accurately.

Basic understanding of laboratory safety practices.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment

Previous coursework or exposure to:
Analytical chemistry, Pharmaceutical or GMP environments required.

Familiarity with basic laboratory instrumentation (e.g., pH meters, balances) required.

Interest in pharmaceutical quality control or analytical laboratories as a career path required.

Learning Outcomes:

Gain a foundational understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as applied to pharmaceutical quality control laboratories.

Develop hands-on experience in:
Reagent preparation and solution standardization.

Use of basic analytical laboratory instruments (e.g., pH meters, balances, conductivity meters).

Learn proper laboratory safety practices, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and chemical handling procedures.

Understand the importance of data integrity and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) in a regulated laboratory environment.

Become familiar with routine QC laboratory workflows and expectations within a pharmaceutical contract manufacturing setting.

Build professional skills such as attention to detail, time management, and effective communication in a team-based laboratory setting.

Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM

This is anon-site,full-time position located in Spokane, WA.

Hiring Wage:$25.00hrdepending on experience, with opportunity for growth, promotion and annual raises. Midpoint and above is reserved for employees who have longevity with Jubilant Hollister Stierand  consistently exhibit outstanding performance over a period of time in the role
