Job Description
The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily quality assurance and quality control operations to ensure products meet established standards, specifications, and customer expectations. This role supervises quality staff, enforces compliance with regulatory requirements, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the activities of quality control inspectors and technicians.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and documentation.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and testing of materials, processes, and finished products.
- Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Review and analyze quality data, preparing reports and recommendations for management.
- Train and mentor quality team members on inspection techniques, safety, and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve processes and reduce defects.
- Manage calibration of inspection and testing equipment.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in quality management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5+ years of experience in quality control or quality assurance, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of quality standards, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, SPC).
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to the industry.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in quality software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Certified Quality Inspector (CQI)
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
- Leadership and team management
- Process improvement mindset
- Critical thinking and root cause analysis
- Effective communication
- Manufacturing, laboratory, or production environment
- May require standing for extended periods and occasional lifting
- Possible shift work or extended hours during audits or production peaks
The annual base salary range for this position is $83431k - $104289k.
