Specialist, QA SAP

Job Description

The QA SAP Specialist provides support/oversight for the quality related SAP modules. These modules include Material Numbers, Inspection Plans (Specifications), Sampling (Draws and Plans), Dynamic Modification Rules (DMR – Skip lot testing), Notifications (ZD, ZO, ZN, etc), BOM (Bill of Materials) and Recipes.

• Ensure Material numbers and Inspection plans are configured correctly before releasing for use
• Create/Assign Sampling draws and plans to materials as required
• Ensure the correct DMR's are assigned to materials that qualify for skip lot testing
• Oversee ZO notifications for specifications, material master’s and general SAP requests
• Recognize/partner/oversee process improvement projects and/or SAP changes/upgrades
• Review and approve new BOM's and Recipes
• Assist in training users in the SAP Specifications system

• BS or BA required, OR 7 years of experience in lieu of a BS/BA degree required
• Minimum of 2 years required, 5 preferred, of pharmaceutical regulated industry. In-depth experience with SAP can be used in lieu of pharmaceutical experience
• FDA Regulated Industry experience required
• In-depth proficiency of SAP T-codes and functionality preferred
• High computer aptitude; proficiency in Track Wise and Master Control (SOP and SPEC revisions) required
• Microsoft Word and Excel required
• Excellent interpersonal skills; interaction with departments and inspectors/auditors from regulatory agencies and customer companies required
