Certified Construction Materials Testing Technician
Full-time position.

General ResponsibilitiesThe testing technician is responsible for conducting materials testing, monitoring construction operations, performing field tests and special inspections (depending on experience and qualifications), and ensuring compliance with plans and specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include soil, aggregate and asphalt density testing, concrete testing, collecting samples, recording data, preparing reports and working closely with project managers to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
Requirements- 1-3 years’ experience performing construction material testing and/or special inspections. (We are willing to train the right person!)
- Ability to conduct field inspections and prepare detailed reports.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
- Effective communication with clients, contractors and engineering team.
- ACI Field Testing Technician, Grade I or above preferred
- Nuclear gauge safety training
- High school diploma or equivalent; AA in Civil Engineering Technology preferred
- WAQTC Certifications (Aggregate, Asphalt I, Embankment & Base, In-place Density)
- ICC Special Inspection Certification (Reinforced Concrete, Pre-Stressed Concrete, Structural Steel & Bolting, Structural Welding, Spray-applied and Intumescent Fireproofing)
- Positive attitude with a client-service approach.
- Ability to use a computer and/or mobile device to complete daily field reports.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. alone and maneuver up to 75 lbs. with assistance.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel throughout our western Montana service region.
